New Beginnings

With those sentences Susan and I realized that our time at Clyde Central would come to an end this summer and a new pastor would soon be calling this her church home.
Rev. Joyce Bunn, from the Northern Piedmont district, is coming to Clyde Central from New Salem UMC in Randleman, NC. Joyce and her husband Dana are a clergy couple and as such, Joyce will be living in Sylva in the parsonage provided by First UMC, Sylva, where her husband will be serving.
Rev. Bunn brings a wealth of experience to Clyde Central and prior to her ordination as an elder in the church she was an ordained Deacon working with children and youth.
Moving Day for clergy is July 5 and Joyce’s first Sunday in the pulpit is scheduled for July 16th.
Joyce will begin office hours and meeting the folks here beginning the week of July 10. I know you will receive her with open arms.
